It's Raining

its raining hard with thunder bolts,
and lighting with a thousand volts,

you try your hardest to keep dry,
it seems the rain wont let you by,

you make a dash from door to door,
trying to dodge the hard down pour,

it cant be beat that endless flow,
you cant shelter from it all night you know,

so brave the torrent and make a dash,
and ignore the thunder volts that crash,

just come on home its cozy here,
And I will say I love you dear.

Are There Pawprints In Heaven

I hear of a place that is made of gold,
a place where we shall never grow old,
But one answer I have not heard at all,
will there be paw prints from my little dog?
He promised us joy right from the start,
I just wonder if she'll be a part.
So as I sit here and dream of the day,
I wonder if heaven she will stay?
When your walking down with the saints of old
take a glimpse of that new road and if there you shall see,
Maybe a pawprint just for me.

The First Thing I Have Ever Done

the first time we spoke
my ears heard a song
the first time we met
my eyes sang along

the first movie I spent
cuddled in your arms
in the background I heard
the whispering of charms

the first time you said
I love you to me
the sounds of my heart
could have parted the sea

all the first in the past
and the first still ahead
all the laughter and fun
and tears that we've shed

such a beautiful song
written by our life
perhaps can continue
as husband and wife

I love you forever
from this moment on
my love will be written
in a poem or a song

Beauty

I am the resplendent shine of a flower,
Fiery in crimson joy upon the soil,
Scintillating, an ember in cyan,
I, never, fade in your world.

I am the tiny wings of a rose,
Luminous at dusk and blazing at dawn,
Gleaming in happiness like a polar star,
Illuminate your galaxy all the time.

Roses

No matter where you see a Red Rose
Whether it’s in a store or wild and free
You always see it withering
There’s never a chance to grieve until it’s gone
But if you look onto a Yellow Rose
The color is always perfect
The petals are never drooping
And they’re always of abundance

Starry Night

Starry Night, Starry Night,
The stars shining in the sky.
The stars twinkling in my eye,
Like the sun in the daytime sky,
Or the moon in the early evening.
The nebulae are big and bright,
Like a supernova explosion in broad daylight.
Starry night, starry night
Oh, what a beautiful sight

The Beautiful World

Luscious scents tickle your nose.
Odorous perfume, beautiful rose.

Soft silky petals,
sharp thorns like pointy needles.

Countless colors paint their blooms,
their dazzling beauty consumes.

A great gift to please our eyes.

Nothing So Rare As A Day In June

Nothing so rare as a day in June,
the air so fine and the blossoms all blue.

The weather just perfect, the skies never gray
The bugs always buzzing and the tree's seem to sway

The sun beats so warmly on the tenderness of my skin,
and the birds..they fly, far away in the wind,

June is the month that carries a tune,
it's beautiful melody floats like a balloon.

Oh! It Was A Wind

I felt a strong air on my hair
oh! it was a wind
side by side, the leaves sway and sway
yesterday was a windy day!

I felt a strong breeze on my knees
oh! it was a wind!
it blew harder and harder as it can,
until the heat of the sun was gone!

the kids that play on the ground
come running and stepping with sound
the kites that fly so high,
made the children laugh and sigh!

I felt a strong air on my hair,
I felt a strong breeze on my knees
and then I realized,
oh! it was a wind!

Wing Howling

Awoken from my nightmarish dreams,
The sounds of wind, howling
Its fists beating against my windows.

Branches scraping,
Like fingernails against the chilled glass.

Shadows creeping across the room
seeking, searching,
a lost child.

Wind howling still,
Like the ongoing, mournful cry of a wolf,
baying at the full moon.

On and on cries the wind
Forever searching for ears to listen,
longing to be heard.

The Late Hours

The sun had gone down.
Silent in my heart, peace in my soul;
Morning fog flakes, now, dissipated,
Winds swept them to the unknown land.

The tits had flown west,
On their way to their only nest.

Orange curtains still covered heaven,
Blazing like a wild, hot fire.
The clouds had sunken into the oceans,
Forever, gone...joy mourned.

The Grand Canyon

She picked up her brush and began to paint
Her pallet of earth sometimes was faint
The depth of scene was beyond reach of eye
Topped now and again by a turquoise sky

The colors of her painting began to run
At first a trickle… the torrent had begun
Upon her painting, eyes would struggle to look away
Her thoughts were of a landscape where hearts would play

Stepping back from the canvas, in her gaze it seems
The painting was beyond her wildest dreams
The sound of water echoed upon the wall
As she hung the painting in the great hall

She unveiled her canvas and offered it to him
Then foot prints appeared on the edge of the rim
She knew they would come from the world around
Drawn by a painting… created in the ground

Wild Horse

Aloft the wind
I ride the night sky
I see the world through a much different eye

Power, beauty
Strength and grace
I feel the spirits of ancestral space

Pride of herd
Sisters and brothers
I live ever watchful standing by others

A kaleidoscope of colors
No two ever the same
The short, the tall, the long of mane

I know the chance
I know the fear
I live on the edge for death crouches near

On my back I carry a load
Through storm and calm
Ever vigilant and bold

I have died in battle
Killed by man
Hunted by predator as I roamed the land

No more room
Not enough grazing
Captured, shot, sold by pound on bills of lading

Yet I survive
Sometimes an insurmountable course
I am feral, I am Mustang, I am Wild Horse

The Wind

The wind it moves in wondrous ways
Through the tree branches it blows and its sways
It takes all the leaves and flies them so high
Then briefly it lets go and they fall from the sky

Its strength is so varied from timid to strong
The length of the blowing can be short or long
Sometimes it tickles the tip of your nose
Sometimes sends shivers to the tips of your toes

It can bring some surprises with each passing day
The wind will surprise you in many a way
The sweet sound of whistling, the roar of a storm
It can bring you some happiness and also bring harm

The next time you see a bag blow down the street
The next time you feel the wind at you feet
Remember its power, its beauty and grace
For the wind can be anywhere, it can be any place.

Something Beautiful

Watching the last of these days disappear
feeling the air get colder
seeing the world get darker.
Memories of lying on the grass
of the sun warming my closed eyes.

Now, the warmth is gone
the sunshine is gone
the world has turned into something new
something colder, something darker
something different,

something Beautiful.

Fall Has Arrived

The gush of wind blew my hair,
Straight up to the unforgiving air.
Fall was peaking around the trees,
Leaves would pile high,
soon up to my knees.
Hello orange, yellow, and red,
goodbye green,
Bye-bye June, July, and August,
hello Halloween.
The warmth is gone and won

You Were There For Me

You were there my Friend

You saw me crying when my heart was broken,
You saw how hard it is for me to take it,
you never left me alone when I needed someone,

You lend your shoulder for me to cry on,
You wiped my tears with your precious hanky'
you lent your ears for me to open up my pain,

You never stopped listening to all my worries
your advise and sympathy helped me move on,
you made me forget the pain that crushed my heart,

And now that I have finally moved on,
I want the world to know;
how lucky I am to have you,
Because, you were always there my friend.

Memories Of Friendship

Somewhere in a distance
I see pigeons fly
Sharing wonderful moments
When they are above the sky

Thinking all the memories
They made on yesterday
Sitting on the branches
Of experience, agonies and gay

Listening to the music
Of a solemn day
All the fun they made
In the sand will lay

Memories of friendship
I know it will never end
As pigeons fly high
And protect their relationship

Believe, You Are Loved

When you are in a crowd,
When you are alone;

When you are in pain,
When your world is dazzling with delight;

When life isn’t fair,
When your joy multiplies exponentially;

When you rise up, When you lie down,
And all times in between;

Realize that is when you are thought of,
Know then is when you are appreciated,
Believe this is when you are loved.

Suicide

Yesterday last year, you were right here,
And yet now you feel so far away,
Your rotting underground but your face is in my head,
I don’t understand it because you’re meant to be dead.

I don’t get why you did what you did,
But who am I to judge,
You had you’re reasons and I didn’t own your life,
But I wish you had thought of us.

Now I’m remembering it’s getting harder to forget,
Getting my home to see my Mum’s face all wet,
I ask myself questions that burn in my head,
I need safety, comfort, so I go under my bed.

The dull pain of grief throbs stronger every time,
I can’t understand and I’m sure I never will,
I don’t want to miss you you’ve committed a crime,
Because now when I think of you all I feel is a chill.

There’s an empty space where you’re meant to be,
There’s a space in the puzzle that only you can fit,
I don’t understand why you did what you did,
But the day you did it I stopped being a kid.

Let Me Go

Just a girl
In this world while it twirls when it whirls
her head in a haze
can't seem to find away out
If she screams no matter what she shouts
Not a soul hears her cry
There's nothing but dark skies
She's consumed by her morbid thoughts
Everything around, the pain has brought
Her slit wrists
Her bloody grip
She raised her arm once more
on the bathroom floor
the blood reaches her neck life flows out
still not a soul listens for her shout
she's left she's flown
to a happier place
where even her scars are no disgrace
that girl now has a smile on her face

Deep Inside

When I smile deep inside I want to frown
when I laugh deep inside I want to cry
when you look into my eyes
You think every thing is alright
But deep inside
I want to die
maybe one day
I won’t feel like this
till then I’ll be happy in the outside
and crying in the inside

In The Silence

I take a glance,
at the scars on my wrists
they tell me,
it doesn't have to be like this
I want to talk,
to let it out
but nobody is there to listen,
even when I shout
depression is dark
so speak up
before it takes you away
and covers your mouth

My Daughter's Tears

Until it affects someone we love,
We don’t even know it’s there.
It’s really not our problem,
So why should we care.

The statistics are quite shocking,
One in four they say
Will suffer from depression
In their lives one day.

There’s not much stigma anymore
For this serious mental flaw.
But no one knows where it will strike,
It’s just the luck of the draw.

No one would choose to live with it,
And some don’t even try.
I see my daughter suffering
And all she can do is cry.

Most people turn the other cheek,
They’ve been doing it for years.
But I must face the pain I see,
In my daughter’s tears.
