Memories hurt when I thought back

To the times I thought were sad

The smile I wore disappeared

Replaced with the foulest tears.

Then I met someone new

That special someone was you

Drying the pain, healing the sorrow

I moved myself along with you.

You showed me life, it's meanings and ways

Happiness that was here to stay

But a feeling that can't ever be replaced

A True Friend

When someone is right by, you know they’re your friend,

Like a lioness protecting her cub.

You know it's not going to be the end,

Just like a strong, never-ending club.

When in desperate need for a giant smile,

Friendship may be the best route to go on,

Like a rider going on a mile.

And when someone that you love is gone,

Like a lonely duckling to his mother,

You have a buddy’s shoulder to cry on,

And a friend to me is like a brother.

Trust?

After I knew the person you showed the world,

I searched for the person you are.

He was nowhere around

Where was he to be found?

Behind the person you wear?

Can I see you without him there?

There are walls set up

Life has never let up

They have saved you in the past

If only I could spend sometime in your mind

But, I'd rather you be able to open up and tell me

Let go of the hardships that you no longer need to carry

This world is so cruel,

I don't know what I did wrong,

It hurts to be accused

of something you didn't do,

I messed up today, not something I wanted to do.

I remember the time not long ago

When we laughed and shared it all

We were the very best of friends

This boy i used to call my friend

Isn't so friendly anymore

We see each other different places

But I don't even get a simple hello

I had my first kiss with him

Apparently that's all he wanted from me

Cuz he would still be calling

But no, not no more

When I Found you

I found me
